Her Future Coalition

Her Future Coalition’s Mission: To break the cycle of exploitation, poverty, and gender violence by providing education and holistic support to survivors and vulnerable girls in India and Nepal.

Their intervention method is focused on providing support with education and computer literacy, homework and tutoring, human rights literature and workshops, counselling and mental health support.

The grant will go towards funding the below program requirements:

  • Building the Kolkata Breakthrough Centre to help 200+ girls in need with tools and specifically covering

    • Facilities Costs (renovation and furnishing of two rooms)

    • Programme expenses (computers, printers, school and office supplies)

    • Programme personnel expenses (30% of Education Programme Director salary, teachers and tutors)

Pacific Links Foundation

Pacific Links Foundation’s mission is to support the sustainable development of Vietnamese communities and the enrichment of their cultural heritage.

The target beneficiary of the Girls Empowerment Mekong (GEM) project are disadvantaged female students in 9-12th grade at high risk of dropping out of school in the Mekong Delta. 

The grant will go towards funding the below program requirements:

  • Supporting 30 girls with scholarships covering school fees, books, uniforms, school supplies, tutoring, exam prep, health insurance, family engagement through Family Day and Home Visits (USD 350 each)

  • Civic engagement and social entrepreneurship course

  • Cultural activities

  • Off-site community building

  • Health, fitness and student clubs

  • Mental Health Counseling

  • English lessons

Harpswell Foundation

Harpswell has two dormitories for students Phnom Penh who otherwise would struggle to afford room and board. They provide a core leadership program in the dorms that equip the students with the abilities to become the future leaders of Cambodia. The grant will go towards funding the following program requirements:

  • Civic engagement and social entrepreneurship course

  • Cultural activities

  • Off-site community building

  • Health, fitness and student clubs

  • Mental Health Counseling

  • English lessons

Room to Read: Girls’ Education Program

The Rally grant was used to support 130 girls through the Girls’ Education Program in Cambodia, where there is a high risk of girls dropping out of secondary school, thereby halting their chances of seeking further education or higher paying jobs. The program is designed to ensure the girls successfully graduate and sufficiently plan for life beyond, and consists of:

  1. Life skills training to improve the girls’ and ability to thrive in and out of school

  2. Mentorship for life and career beyond secondary school

  3. Material support to families in need (e.g. school books, bicycles)

  4. Family & Community Engagement to change attitudes towards gender equality
